It was over a year ago that I wrote about my oldest giving me that huge compliment of, “I like the atmosphere. (of THE FALL) It gives me hope.”

THAT’S why I’m doing this.  Just a couple minutes ago, a woman was weeping here at Starbucks because she had just been informed of the sudden death of a dear friend through an email.  An email!

Usually we are able to cover our pain with a veneer of pasteurized civility.  But if you’re anything like me, the raw panic is just a phone call, failure, rejection, heartbreak–or email–away.  That’s life.  It sucks but pain is part of living.  Add that to news headlines, racism, war, natural disaster, and everyday responsibilities and it’s a wonder any of us are sane–or at least keeping up appearances :/

This world needs hope.  Our society needs answers and a place to air deep questions, deep frustration and even total despair–a place to get at the heart of mankind’s deepest longing–to be loved, valued, significant and encouraged when it seems everything these days claws away our worth.

I know I’m just one voice, but that’s what we’re supposed to be–THE voice to point the right person at the right time toward real answers through God.

How to do my part in this?  Help me God.

And please send the right people to help catapult this little venture into hurting people’s lives.

In His hope,

Chana
