The Way Is Open
The way is open.
He who defeated death and walked out of the grave blew the door of death off its hinges.
He lives, will never die again, and keeps the way open.
The way is OPEN.
His arms are open wide to YOU.
Come as you are.
Step over the old bones of your past.
Take His hand and blast through the lies of unworthiness, shame and fear;
Through the blinding mist of lies spoken over you, sins committed against you—even the darkness of habits, addictions and lies you hide behind to shut out the light of His love.
‘The way is shut. It was made by those who are Dead, and the Dead keep it, until the time comes. The way is shut.’ J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King
Come as you are.
No excuses. No false pride.
No ologies or isms to debate His existence.
No blame or pointing of the finger.
It’s just you and Him–standing before you, the enemies of your peace lying at His feet.
Your job is to take His hand and never let go.
To hear His voice when the shrieks of death scream louder.
To lean deeper into His arms of love when past wounds claw at your soul.
To trust His love will never fail even when you do.
Take the hand of the only Champion Whose presence can seep into the deepest crevices of your broken soul, to create blinding beauty from ashes, strength from weakness, hope from despair, joy from sorrow, and life from death.
The way is Open.
He fought through hell and back again to get to you.
His hand is open.
Leap into His arms and find life.
Yes, the way is narrow,
But it’s OPEN.
Come to me all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest.
As the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I have come that they might have life, and that more abundantly.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.
