Need to rant so I’ll rant here.
Been crying–a LOT–in prayer lately.
God’s compassion for the lost and longing for his hurting children was shredding me this morning. Truly like birth pangs. So intense and gripping, I didn’t even want to breathe, then almost I would be catatonic a while before the cycle started over again.

So often I go through day after day kinda forgetting that I’m surrounded by people who are dying and moving toward an eternity without God.

When the reality of that fact breaks through, even a moment, its unbearable.
More of Jesus, less of me. Only He can save. Only He knows the key & code to each heart. Only He can turn this cracked jar of clay into a vessel of His Holy Spirit that will actually fulfill His calling in this short life.

Later, when completely wiped out, God put songs in mine and hubby’s heads that both had the term “Little Darlin'” in them. (Melted my heart to hear God address me as “Little Darlin'”)

Mark’s song was “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles.
Mine was “Mother and Child Reunion” by Paul Simon. Didn’t know it was Paul Simon. Didn’t even know much of the lyric and what I did know was wrong. (I thought it was “Another Child Reunion” which didn’t really make sense.)

So I looked it up. Here’s the lyric that just made me cry all over again because God is saying,

“Weep, mourn & wail… but not without hope. Revival is at hand.”

Mother And Child Reunion Lyrics

Artist: Paul Simon

No, I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away

Oh, little darling of mine, I can’t for the life of me
Remember a sadder day, I know they say, “Let it be”
But it just don’t work out that way
And the course of a lifetime runs
Over and over again

No, I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away

Oh, little darling of mine, I just can’t believe it’s so
Though it seems strange to say, I never been laid so low
In such a mysterious way, and the course of a lifetime runs
Over and over again

But I would not give you false hope (no!)
On this strange and mournful day
When the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away

Oh, the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh, the mother and child reunion
Is only a moment away
